This class wasn’t too bad. Task 1, the annotated bibliography wasn’t difficult. Probably the hardest part was choosing a topic (like Comp I). I chose why raising the federal minimum wage is a bad idea. I found tons of peer reviewed articles in the WGU library and used those, as well as some resources I found just by googling. It took about 2 days for the evaluator to grade the paper.
Task 2 was a bit more difficult as it requires an 8-10 page essay. It took me about 14 hours, spread over 2 days, to complete it. Once turned in, the evaluators graded it in about a day. Passed, though I made some stupid mistakes with the APA in-text references. The evaluator mentioned in the report but didn’t dock me on it.
Takeaway
Find a good topic, then collect the resources. And drink coffee.
