I found this class to be very similar to the Managerial Accounting class I took in undergrad. Since I took that class only a couple months ago, alot of the material was still fresh.

The first thing I did was take the pre-assessment. I scored well enough to unlock the OA, but didn’t feel confident enough to tackle it right away. I starting going through the material, chapter by chapter, but found it to be dry and not tied to anything in the PA. I read a few chapters, did the quizzes, but then abandoned the material.

I then moved to the cohorts and watched each one (about an hour each). The ones that cover topics 2-6 are the most important, in my opinion. The Course Tips section provides a few spreadsheets with problems related to budgeting, CVP, transactional analysis, and SCF. I used those to verify I was grasping the concepts. I then scheduled the OA and passed.

Takeaway

  • Take the PA cold
  • Skip the learning material and watch the cohorts
  • Use the spreadsheet problems to learn
