This course had alot of the same elements from the C720 (Ops & Supply Chain Mgmt) course from my undergrad studies so it was mostly a refresher. The annoying thing about this class is there were absolutely no other resources than the Wiley reading material, which was clunky and useless at best. No cohorts, no powerpoints, no nothing.
I started off by taking the PA cold. I passed but had several sections that were “approaching competence” so I didn’t feel comfortable taking the OA. The course of study recommends several things per chapter: a pre-quiz, reading, study aids, flashcards/puzzles, post-chapter quiz, homework, and practice – and there are 12 chapters covered.
I ended up answering a few pre-quiz questions, then reading, then doing the post-chapter quizzes. The Wiley material was poorly laid out and the course of study jumped around chapters non-linearly. After spending a few days reading, I decided to take the OA and see how I did. Surprisingly, I passed. I felt like there was a disconnect between the PA and the OA and, as a result, about 30% of my answers were educated guesses.
Shortly after, I received a congratulatory email from the course instructor who also asked for my feedback on the course – which I gladly gave.
