I found this class to be fairly straightforward. I hadn’t taken a math class in 30 years so I was concerned I had forgotten much. The Hawkes learning resources were useful and included several examples and videos. I didn’t make a lot of use out of the “Pre-Certify” questions and instead found that moving from the instructional material directly to the “Certify” was easiest.
If I found I was struggling to pass the Certify section, I would just “End without Saving”, study a bit more, and start over. The Hawkes material gives you only a limited amount of saves before you have to Pre-Certify to take the Certify test again and I just didn’t want to mess with that.
I worked through all the modules which took about a day, then took the PA. To my surprise, I scored Exemplary. I went ahead and scheduled the OA for later that evening and passed with an Exemplary on it, too.
Work through the Hawkes modules until you get the concepts. Buy a WGU approved calculator (I bought the TI BAII Plus). Oh, and keep the whiteboard from your WGU welcome kit. It’s useful during the OA.
