I found this class a little more difficult than I expected. My program mentor let me know that this class had been completely overhauled in September of 2018 because, before that, it was very difficult and had a high failure rate.

I didn’t spend a lot of time in the reading material. I watched the cohorts and then took the PA. Scored well on the PA so I went back and re-watched the cohorts again, then scheduled the OA.

I felt the OA mostly aligned with the PA but there were some questions on there that I had to make educated guesses on (mainly stuff about bond valuation). The OA took me over an hour which is probably the longest time I have spent taking a test so far. When I submitted the exam, I thought I didn’t score well and might have failed, but I ended up scoring in the 80% range.

Takeaway

Most formulas are provided for the OA. You’ll need to know how to calculate things like return on equity and sustainable growth rate so pay attention to that stuff in the cohorts.
