Credits: 3

Time to Complete: 4 hours

This course was super easy. It’s basically a mash up of algebra, statistics & probability, and project management. I got the feeling this course was just filler to get another 3 credits. There’s not a lot to this one. Just basic order of operations, interepreting histograms and scatterplots, and managing critical paths. The last section of the course covered economic order quantity and figuring out costs of orders, but it was easy.

I only listened to the webinars which were about 10 minutes each. I didn’t do the “deep dive” recorded cohorts. Took the PA, scored exemplary. Took the OA, scored exemplary. I only spent about 4 hours on this entire course.

I also only memorized two formulas: PERT weighted average and EOQ.

This was the last objective assessment needed to complete my degree.

Takeaway

  • Remember order of operations (PEMDAS)
  • Remember critical path is the one that takes the longest amount of time
  • Several questions on choosing the right payoff decision using the weighted average formula: (O + 4M + P)/6
  • A few EOQ questions: √2DS/H
