This was an interesting course. It consisted of two performance assessements, the first being a personal leadership evaluation paper and the second an organizational leadership evaluation.
The personal leadership eval started with a CliftonStrengths assessment and built off of that, identifying strengths, weaknesses, mitigating those weaknesses, and setting SMART goals. The evaluators bounced my paper back saying that I didn’t fully develop the SMART goal section so that added a couple days of delay. I fixed that fairly easily, resubmitted, and passed the eval.
The organizational eval was actually kind of fun. I chose my own company as the object and one of our VP’s as the primary leader. One of the requirements was to change the actual names of the company and person and I chuckled at what brought about that change. The paper asked for a SWOT on the org and a SWOT on the person. Having worked at the company and with this individual for years, it was a fairly simple write.
This class was pretty simple .. just a lot of writing. The first paper was 9 pages and the second rounded out at 17.
