I actually took some time off between the last class and this one, spent a week in Iceland, and got dragged into some workstuff that delayed my progress here. This is a fairly simple class. I basically just followed the rubric and skipped the training material entirely. This class consists of two performance objectives. The first is to write a series of media messages to employees, stakeholders, etc, related to a new product. The new product is one of three scenarios provided by the rubric. It took me about three days to complete the first task and that was basically just getting motivated to write.
The second task is a multimedia presentation using Panopto and Powerpoint along with an executive summary. I can’t stand videoing myself so it took about 4 hours and 50+ takes to get it done. The failed takes generally went something like this:
“Hi everybody, thanks for joining the presentation today. I just wanted to give a quick overvi–, er, a rundow–, er, #$@&%! it all to %$#%@, this %#$@# #%@$@—” *end recording
I did finally manage to get it done in a single take which I wasn’t too happy with but decided to submit anyway. It was graded in less than 24 hours which is probably the quickest turnaround time I’ve had on an evaluation.
Overall, pretty simple stuff.
